WHY have two children’s parks in Devonport? There is all this talk about the council not having any money, but go down to Mutton Cove and they are building a new children’s play park next to the dockyard wall by King Billy. Children already have a play park less than 200 yards away by the swimming baths, built about 10 years ago.
We boatowners said to them some time ago that it would be ideal for an overflow car park in the summer and a boat storage park in the winter months. Kids next to water don’t mix, especially with the tidal current there
